Like a bomb, Jacob Weintraub counts down the minutes before he is set to explode. Like a bomb, he stores-up his energy until he is ready to release it. Like a bomb, he unleashes in an explosion of energy as people gaze upon him. And like a bomb, when Weintraub goes off, it is probably best to stand at a distance.

As the sun sets on another semester, we here at the Union will like to pay homage to the student athletes and coaches who made it worthwhile to write about sports all year long.
The stories that were written exemplified courage and a willingness to win despite the odds that our Warrior teams had to face.

As the prices of required textbooks often vary, one never knows what to expect come a new semester.
Getting back the money spent on supplemental materials is as important as getting back a deposit when moving out of one's apartment.
Being that nobody wants to make it easy on students by simply loaning out books, or putting materials online, or God forbid, providing free textbooks, hustling books to one another or selling these burdensome materials back to bookstores are what most students find themselves doing.

This summer about 1,600 students will be graduating from EC. From those 1,600, roughly 650 will be participating in the graduation ceremony. Kudos to all those who have managed to get through college while juggling work, home and friends.

Tuesday marked the beginning of a three-day mourning period for those killed by cyclone Nagris' sweep of destruction two weeks ago in Myanmar.
It is estimated that 78,000 people are dead.
To add to that devastating number, 56,000 people are still missing.
After a stubborn junta decision to reject help from other nations, as of Tuesday, the Southeastern Asian Nations agreed to set up an ASEAN-led taskforce for the distribution of foreign aid.

Yes, that is a verse from a famous rap song, but it is true. I do love California in the summertime.
