EC Graduation '09

Business major Gilbert Zermeno was laid off from his job at this time last year causing him to have to go back to school and get a degree to look for a new opportunity. Come June 12, Zermeno will be among those students who will walk into Murdock Stadium as part of the Class of 2009.

Students realize that the slumping economy is a good reason to pursue educational goals and now is a good time to do it. "I can't keep up with the economy. If it -cost of living - goes up $3, my salary only goes up $1," Deborah Addison, administration of justice.

As a young, skinny, undersized high school volleyball player, health professor and former volleyball coach Sharkie Zartman was told by her coach that she was too small and suggested she should try another sport because she might not make it as a volleyball player.

Congratulations to EC graduates

Graduation is the best closure a student can have with EC for whatever reasons brought them to school in the first place. For people who came back to school to get second degrees and to better their skills (and themselves), walking down Murdock Stadium signifies every accomplishment from the last semester or even three years.

Artists flood EC with talent

Aspiring artists from various artistic backgrounds fill EC with their talents. Some students aren't quite professional artists yet, but they are EC's finest. The student-produced artwork us exhibited in the annual showcase which began Monday, May 18 and will run through Friday, June 5.
