Returning from spring break, the golf team must reestablish its practicing routine. During its time off, the team practiced hard in an effort to earn second place at the South Coast Conference. Currently, EC is four points away from second place in the SCC standings behind Mt.
Coming toward the end of the season, the women's tennis team knows it is very close to earning a conference championship. But the dream almost came to an end when it overlooked a weak opponent. The Warriors will be on the road today when they play Marymount at 2 p.
Last week was a rough week for the men's volleyball team, as injuries and academic problems made for a disastrous start of conference play. Fortunately for the Warriors, it is just the beginning of conference play and they will have ample time to make up lost ground.
Despite a four-run fifth inning, the softball team didn't have enough, as the team lost, 8-4, against Long Beach City. The loss left the team with a 1-8-conference record. EC will travel today to play against L.A. Pierce at 3 p.m. Later on in the week, they face off against East L.
Following five away meets, the swim teams will host two meets at their own pool. The first of two meets will take place tomorrow against Cerritos. The Pasadena Invitational, April 9-10, will be the last chance for the Warriors to sharpen their skills before they travel.
