Pro: One crime or two crimes for a pregnant woman?

Unborn babies are victims

A violent crime committed against a person is wrong, but committing a violent crime against a pregnant woman is even worse, and should be considered two crimes because two lives were at risk. The proposed law is officially known as "Unborn Victims of Violence Act.

Committing a crime against a person is a horrible thing, and a crime that is committed against a pregnant woman is considered a horrendous act of violence, yet it is still just a crime. Laci's and Conner's Law, which was signed by President Bush on April 1, is a law that makes it a federal offense to hurt a fetus when committing a violent crime against a pregnant woman.

Times can get hard and people can get desperate, but people still have their rights and their freedom of choice. U.S. Sen. Chuck Hagel has proposed that the United States consider reinstating the draft. There are so many reasons why this is not a good idea that I don't even know where to begin.
