Public welcomed at wood turn shop

The Industry and Technology division is sponsoring a wood turning demonstration in the Construction Technology shop tomorrow at 11 a.m.

They are helping the Transition program students (through the Manhattan Beach Unified School district Los Angeles County Office of Special Education Southwest Local Plan Area community) with the Freedom Pens Project.

GSA sponsors safer sex health booth

The Gay Straight Alliance, GSA, is offering a safer sex health information table in front of the Schauerman Library lawn Oct. 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m..

The GSA meets on Tuesdays in the ARTB 305 at 1 p.m.

College reinstates Winter session

Due to an increased budget the college is able to offer a winter session, after having canceled it last year.

This year's winter session will begin Jan. 5.

Approximately 150 courses will be offered.

Interested students may call the Admisions Office at (310) 660-3414 or (310) 660-3415.

UC information available today

Representatives from UC campuses will be available in the Transfer Center.

UCLA will be on campus today from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. by appointment.

UC Santa Cruz will be on campus Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

UC Irvine will be on campus Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
